Dr. Zale Bonnett, a graduate of Life Chiropractic College West in Hayward, California, earned both academic and clinical honours while serving as President of the Upper Cervical Club, NUCCA Club, and Delta Sigma Chi professional fraternity. After practicing in Victoria and Edmonton, he is now proud to serve patients in his hometown, focusing on undiagnosed and misdiagnosed neck injuries that often lead to complex symptoms such as headaches, neck pain, and concussion-like effects.
Practiced for thousands of years, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has been gaining popularity in Western culture both as complementary and alternative treatment choices. TCM encompasses many different modalities, including herbal formulas, diet and lifestyle advice, cupping, gua sha, bleeding, moxa, and acupuncture. Acupuncture is arguably the most well-known TCM modality in the West. It consists of inserting very fine needles through the skin into what is called an acupuncture point. Classically, these points are found on the 14 main meridians of the body and are located from the top of the head to the bottom of the feet. For many people, acupuncture has been sought out to help manage pain, digestive disorders, anxiety, depression, insomnia and infertility, to name just a few of the many things that acupuncture can address.
